HD comes to PianoDisc!
Hi Def video really brings a piano to life!
September 20, 2007

Sacramento, CA- PianoDisc will soon release the first High Definition interactive video (combining MIDI, audio and video) created specifically for the modern player piano system.  Called PianoVideo HD, the technology gives PianoDisc owners the ultimate entertainment experience: as they watch a High Definition video, their piano will be playing along with it live, in sync with the pianist on the screen.

“PianoVideo HD takes our original interactive piano video technology (first demonstrated in the early ‘90s) to an exciting new level.  By combining the onscreen performance of a world-class pianist, the incredible visual experience of High Definition, and live piano music we bring our customers something unique and thrilling,"  says PianoDisc’s executive vice president Tom Lagomarsino.  “Our PianoVideos are original performances by the original artists.  In addition to performing, they tell stories and entertain as they would on stage or in a nightclub.  With PianoVideo HD and live piano it’s just like being there.”

PianoDisc’s first HD videos will feature pianists Eric Himy and Jeffrey Biegel (Classical), Richard Glazier (playing Gershwin, including Rhapsody in Blue), Joe Augustine (Jazz  standards),  pianist and comedian, Emile Pandolfi (Popular), Oksana (World Music/Classical/Popular), and Danny Wright (New Age).

                                                                  Michael Andrew

Michael Andrew (accompanied by pianist Sam Sorensen) sings American Popular Songs for the series, including Sinatra favorites like "Come Fly With Me" and "One For My Baby."

“We'll make our PianoVideos available in Blu-Ray, HD DVD and Standard Definition DVD, so everyone can enjoy them,” concluded Lagomarsino.

PianoDisc is in the process of building a video studio in its Sacramento, CA factory to support ongoing PianoVideo HD production.

The first PianoVideos will be released in Spring, 2008.  More details to follow!
